Jonathan

Graduated from Goldsmith, Universitly of London. With a double major in English and Drama, I have spent my whole adult life dealing with and analysing language. As a theatre company and production manager, I collaborated on many devised plays, particularly for educational purposes, one of which was performed by GYPT in Taiwan in 1998 for a series of workshops. My work also led to me to visiting many UK universities and I have cooperated with several, including the delivery of workshops. At this time, I was also the go-to person for friends and family who needed help with university and job applications.  

Since arriving in Taiwan in 1998, I have been mainly a teacher of adults, specialising in academic English, principally TOEFL and IELTS, but have also delivered courses at several universities, and taught the in-country pre-sessional course for Birmingham City University over a number of years. I am also currently teaching a foundation course for City College Plymouth, UK.

Besides teaching, I have taken on many editing and writing projects, both for companies and individuals, over the last twenty years, including government reports, doctoral theses, university applications, as well as CatchPlay’s English streaming services. My own personal writing projects have included ghost-writing a series of ten children’s books that were later recorded.
